templo imox
I M O X
/e-mosh/
The ancient maya had three calendars — one was the so called tzolk’in, the spiritual calendar. It was made up of 20 symbols which represented energy and with which they classified the time-space. One of these symbols is IMOX. It represents the subtle and invisible forces. Etimologically it signifies the left side, which in our minds is the feminine, intuitive, creative. Its element is water, fountain of life in its most essential. It also relates to chaos, where the linear and the rational looses all sense and gifts us with the opportunity to let go and traverse the threshold into the dream world: the place where poetry manifests and where the wizard can rise from within.
TEMPLO IMOX is our centrepiece. It is a space to go inwards. To soften and drop our masks. To be silent and commune with others. To move in ways you never have. To explore our primordial wildness. To light our shadows. To listen, to express, to surrender. A space to merely be.
A space to metaphorically and practically immerse in our waters within.
At the centre of our temple you will find water.
We offer sessions, workshops, retreats, ceremonies.
Our culture:
We are inclusive. We also offer up this space to everyone, regardless of socio-economic background.
The only belief that the temple holds is that each of us carry an immense wisdom within — one that can be listened to when going inwards. There is no need to follow someone or something as a means to enlightenment. Nor is there an outward path to follow — the only path is you. Every spiritual text has said this - what you seek is in you.
