High End Wellness Clients, 35 - 55
Oram offers Visiting Specialist Residencies once in a while in some of the very top luxury wellness resorts around the world as well as in high end wellness centres in major cities. There, he offers talks, sessions and personalised retreats during a short period of time (2 -3 weeks). Past clients have included various Aman resorts and the South Kensington Club and Cafe Royal Hotel in London. We will add a selection of high-end sites to our client portfolio, in some of which we will also offer partnerships by installing our concept in these places which will include training their in-house therapists in a simplified version of our work and having a section in their menu where we offer a customised offering. The kind of high-end client that we market towards, is not one who seeks luxury relaxation, but actually seeks to be challenged and led through a deeply transformative wellness journey. In the next 2-3 years, Oram will gradually cut his visiting specialist residencies, leaving only a few, with some of his certified facilitators taking that place. While some of these spaces may lean towards a more conservative luxury style, most of them will have a modern and creative approach to luxury.
The Process of a Session
Primordial Expression isn’t really a method, but a platform that allows, as the name itself implies, the primordial expression in a person — a process that will be different and unique to each. So it is never a set experience, but a rather fluid, ever-changing one. That said, once we get to the essence of primordial expression, we can distinguish specific forms and phenomena across most people, such as what we call ‘the ignition of the inner fire’: an activation of the nervous system, specifically of the vagus nerve — a phenomena that in more spiritual terms can be equated to the kundalini awakening. This phenomena can lead to an involuntary free-flow of movement, very spiral-like, that can in turn activate the pineal gland (or third eye), which in turn expands our consciousness. This is a deeply mystical experience which can lead to deep healing and the development of our unique potential, something written about in some of the most ancient spiritual texts including yoga. We go there, to the core of it, but demystifying the process, breaking the often dependent and hierarchical system that comes with such knowledge, and presenting it as something accessible to all.
We think that perhaps this process that we’ve described can inspire the creation of our logo.
if we were…
A natural landscape?
We’d be Iceland, with its sharp primordial colours of deep blacks, reds, blues, yellows, greens. Hot steaming rivers, ice, lava, powerful waterfalls, wonderful play of lights.
An animal?
We would be a black jaguar, walking carefully through the jungle, staring at you relentlessly with its deep eyes. We would also be a black cobra, dancing in such a sensual fluid way while also being absolute precision. We would choose Quetzalcóatl, the feathered serpent — a mythical animal deity from the ancient mexican cultures, but also found in many other cultures under different names. Rod of Asclepius. Kundalini. A dragon: fire in water.
A season?
We’d be both autumn and spring. Sometimes a letting go and sometimes a rebirth, but always a process of transformation, a metamorphosis.
A piece of music?
We have to choose one from the ECM Records, an independent record label we love which used to have the tag line: the most beautiful sound next to silence. Much of its music crosses the boundaries between jazz, experimental and world music. If we had to choose one we would most probably go with Surrender by Eivind Aarset and Jan Bang.
A book?
4 quartets
An object?
A tea cup made in the aesthetics of Wabi Sabi, a concept we love. We also love the idea that we can imagine everyone, regardless of social class, being comfortable to hold such a tea cup and drink from it, while also appreciating its beauty. This is a concept that we want the design of our centre to be based on also - a place where everyone feels at home.
random brands we LOVe
Aesop - love their aesthetic: simple, concise, spacious, their imagery, website, the physical stores, aromas, etc.
ECM Records - I adore much of their music, the art work on all of their albums, the simplicity in their branding
Obsolete - the founder is our client, we love his careful curation of antiques, how they present them, their instagram feed and communication style.
Aman - we love how their design, whether architectural, of interiors, or graphics, is very high-end and yet embedded in simplicity.
Unvaeled - we love the poetry, the dreaminess and the atmosphere through their curated feed
Jesse Draxler - we love the black monochromatic theme, and the strong emotional voice and shadows his art works echo in me. reminds me of Francis Bacon a little who I also love.
Issey Miyake
Yatzer -
